Just ordered pin tumbler jigglers

As alreasy stated US key ways tend to be roomy.

And these are jigglers made for pin tumbler locks.

I am still getting used to them so I don't know their full potential yet.

So far they are rather variable, working well on some lock and a real pain on others.
Like I already said, I see them as back up picks to be used after conventional picking has failed.

I wonder if those posting that their jigglers don't work well are confusing the old style with the new ones designed especially for pin tumblers? The video is pretty convincing.

That could be the case. The jigglers for this post are new type from southord. They are made for pin tumbler locks and have much more complicated shapes.

And yes they can be used to open locks that otherwise are real buggers

I purchased these to add to my kit and use them as templates to make my own from some feeler guage. That said, I can vouch that these to work and work well. I too was skeptical but purchase with confidence if you wanna add these to yours.

I have had the auto version for a month and they are almost like keys for every auto I have used them on. These pin tumblers set are the same, I pinned all the locks at my house for max picking difficulty , lots of high low ect, but 5 out of 11 jigglers open them in seconds!
I used the key in between each jiggler to make sure al the pins were not stuck or anything
and they still open in just a few bumps up and down.
Just make sure they are all the way in when starting and they are like magic.
Off to get some spool pins, I no longer am safe.

Just got my sdj-11 jigglers all the way from across the pond just had to have a set after seeing delight boyds and bosnianbills videos, just had too say it " they fluffing ROCK" tried them on my old standard , a tight 5 pin euro cylinder with 3 spools thats a five minute spp, third key in and it pops tried it 3 times and totally repeatable no flook . Well worth the wait excellent work Boyd....

im not having any luck with them so far but I've only used them for a little bit. tried a bunch of different locks but haven't gotten any open yet.

not as easy as bosnianbill made them out to be, i haven't popped any SFICs to control in 5 seconds.

i do have to say they are neat and well made.

i'll keep at it till i figure the technique out.

any tips would be appreciated.

How do these compare to the "Computer Generated" pick sets? I always thought that they were the equivalent jigglers/tryout keys for pin tumblers.

The computer generated HPC type picks are what most people consider a LIFTER design like king and queen type picks they do work but there is definitely technique involved and lots of them to work through so time consuming, the sdj set is more in the tryout vein i.e. insert along the shoulder ridge apply slight turning pressure and gently wiggle it if nothing happens move to the next key or turn it upside down to try that side.
Mine work just fine very impressed, best version of this type yet, based on practical experience of what works and looking at thousands of different key bittings and finding the best averages.
No i don't have any affiliation with southord i just recognise decent tool/tools when i see them after 30 odd years of lockying.

OH i don't actually think you could copy these anyhow as the scan is too blurry the convey the exquisite curves on these beauties and there are plenty of nice HIGH resolution photographs on the t'interweb that show them a lot better, though i just wanted to give an idea of the SCALE.

i was mess in with them again last night and got them to work on a simple easy lock. so they do work! i just have to keep practicing to get them to work on more difficult locks with better tolerance.
