Hi I just bought my first kit today a 15pc slimline. I got interested in this as a hobby after watching Elementary and the Sherlock Holmes movies. Plus in every rpg I play I always play a rogue so I kinda wanted to try my hand at some actual lock picking.

:) I remember that was one rather vague reason why I tried it early in my youth

Hey.

Muskedunder here, from Norway!
I have been picking a little on and off with a set i borrowed from a buddy for about 4 months maybe. And now finally bought my own picks, and now i am hooked^^. I got 4 different Southord slimline hooks + a half diamond-thingy and a warded lockpick set (if thats what its called). And made a bunch of torsion wrenches myself from windshield wipers and allen-wrenches. I mainly pick padlocks, mostly pin-tumblers, some warded and some combination ones.

here it goes. my picks and my locks.

Hey all, I'm completely new to lockpicking, basically I'm bored, and I have had the unfortunate luck of being locked out of various rooms in my house one too many times.

Hello. I am new to this site. I have been picking off and on since I was a kid. Had to make my first set of picks out of raw spring steel with templates, since you couldn't buy them in those days. Interested in learning more and possibly joining a group. Interested in safes now.

Hello all, I teach covert entry to members of law enforcement and specialized military units. Once upon a time, I used to read this message board frequently, but haven't checked in for a few years. I intend to start contributing when possible. Since I'm not sure if I'd be violating the forum rules, I won't post a link to my website.

Cheers.

Hey guys, I am a Southern California resident who has been interested in lock picking and locksport for a while. I have read quite a bit on it but never actually started trying it (I have a few sites that sell practice locks and pins already bookmarked but never pulled the trigger).

I am hoping to get a little more involved in the activity, especially since my in-laws recently had some trouble with their lock and I was unable to help them. Hopefully I'll be able to find a solution on the forums before they have to call a locksmith!
