I used to use Otoscope, you can also swap C-Vex Lense in it and it's much better that way when doing safe job. However Lockmaster is classic and good as well.

Dr. Mom now have better scopes with L.E.D.'s for a few bucks more. For really cheap scopes go to Aliexpress (Chinese) and search otoscope. I bought one for $5.00 that works fine and gave me my first good look at the finger pins in a Schlage Primus. Expect to wait 3 - 4 weeks and treat it carefully as it is, after all, a $5 scope. They also have better ones in the $50 range that look much more durable.

I have the cheapo Brockage Lock scope and the lockmasters 3n1 scope and they are worth every penny when it comes down to sight reading a simple cam lock or a crusty old car door lock making keys. a cheap scope works fine also as long as it makes plenty of light and you have a decent quality bought or homemade wafer depressor.
