HEHE,
I had a lever padlock around, as I started to move things around I didn't get any feedback. I couldn't even feel the lever pack :?

I gutted it (had to destroy it in order to do so) and surpise. There were no levers. Just the bolt with a VERY hard spring on it. And a piece of metal to restrict the keys that went inside. It was a warded padlock with the building of a lever lock!

I still need to get lever locks. I still have the cutaway I made of the door lever lock I showed you. But have been distracted with my American Padlocks :P

I have a couple of wires laying around though. Gonna shape them and give it a try!

Thanks!!
Go ahead, keep plugging away, picking on me! You will end up on bypass or with rigor mortise.

That sucks. Got any pics of it? Sounds like a pretty cool lock actually.

Cool?

It's interesting, as I've never seen that before. But I think it can be operated only with the tension wrench :P
I don't have gutshots as the lock was completely wrecked after gutting it. This is another one I got, in which I'm going to file down the key just to one bitting to make that a "pick".

I'll let you know when I'm done!

Thanks Solomon for this great tutorial!

Here´s my version of 2-minute-tension-wrench, first lever padlock ever:

I thought the curvy part of the tension wire would go around the center rod but I guess it doesn´t need that shape.

This is by far no high security but still I had fun when it opened!

Nice! Well done mate, can't beat that feeling when your first one pops.

That key looks very much like the ones made by Burg. Cool lock!
