master lock magnums?

Postby Scowt » 24 May 2013 20:55

Hello everyone! So excited to finally make an account here. Anyways I've been picking for about a month now and this such an interesting hobby. I just love these mechanical puzzles. Well on to the meat of my post. I'm having trouble with these magnums. Any tips? I'll attach a pic. When I figure how to lol.

Hello and welcome to the forum! =)

After many years of uploads the forum is full, so we cannot host any more pictures. The recommended method to show a photo is to upload it to your photobucker or flickr account, or to use http://tinypic.com/ upload it there for free, and then Copy/Paste the link to the .jpg file in your post using the [IMG] tags.

Keep practicing on that master, when starting out every lock seems like an impossible challenge, but given enough time and practice, you'll be opening that lock in seconds.

Enjoy the forum, and feel free to PM a mod or admin any questions you have as you learn your way around our community,

appreciate the relpy. but i do understand the whole "getting used to" a particular lock idea. i have a few other masters that i can open in seconds and all the other ones i have are the same story. but none have given me as much trouble as this one. just wondering if anyone had any tips. does it have any security pins or what? because ive only just begun to add those into my practice deadbolt locks.

Nevermind. I figured out the trick. In case anyone wondering. The spring holding the shackle is too strong. Just put pressure down on it while applying light to medium tension and itll open right up.
