Best has quite a few keyways that third party manufacturers(ilco, JMA, etc.) are able to produce blanks for. These manufacturers may be able to double mill blanks, but they would be impractical. Think about it. Best makes double milled blanks on special order. 3rd party manufacturers would have to mill an extremely large number of keys because of the many keyways BEST has. For example AB AC AD AE AF AG AH AI, and the list goes on and on. Therefore, they would make more money selling just single milled, and the FM sectional Master (A bit of warning on this, DO NOT use these for everyday use, they will eventually cause the lock to fail or the key itself will break because it is super thin), instead of spending money on the equipment and raw metal, just for the blanks to sit in warehouses for years.
