Master Padlock 140

Postby fgarci03 » 31 May 2013 13:20

Hello all,

Simple question: Is it possible to disassemble a Master Padlock Nº140 without destroying it?
My point is to make a key for it, but I'm still not very good at impressioning per-se, so I'd like to take the plug out and work from there.

I heard about something with hot water (?) lol, but have no idea what I'm talking about.

If it isn't possible, I will probably cut it and make a cutaway out of it (and still make the key). So for whoever has trashed any, where should I cut it to remove the plug without wrecking anything?

Here's the image, please point out the places :P:

Thanks
Go ahead, keep plugging away, picking on me! You will end up on bypass or with rigor mortise.

The Search found this old thread: viewtopic.php?t=1890

And it's not boiling water, but here's a nice guide by Snowyboy: http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/719/ ... torial.jpg

Squelchtone, you are the man!

Saw that thread but a quick look didn't allow me to see that it talked about the 140. Dumb me!
I guess that will cover my needs!

Thanks

Ooh, I just picked up a couple of 140D's myself to practice spool pins. Now it's time to take one apart! =D
