It came with a black aluminum handle like a large screwdriver
that is much too long for me.
My previous tool was the HPC midget tubular pick tool and it basicly had no handle ,
just a knob similar to the adjusting collet that this tool has.
It was a pleasure to use for me since it was almost impossible to over torque
using 3 fingers (that's all there was room for ).
There is an allen head set screw to hold the oversized handle on and is easy to remove
but is so long it is ridiculous and could be easily over torqued.
I thought about cutting it down to 1 inch long or so, but would rather keep
the original as is unless I have too alter it.
The tool is an 8 pin from southern specialties , I have already removed the steel pin
for using on 7 pin locks. Is this pin needed for anything but indexing?
Is it best to just cut it and what other mods should be done for it to be all it can be?
Here is a picture of the tool.
