That is a cool video, Squelch. I just picked up an American 5200 today. Five pins, all serrated including the four spools (spoorated), and one serrated driver. Really fun to pick! It had one of the good cores in it fortunately. The lock was made October of 2008. http://s1358.photobucket.com/user/Natha ... 2.jpg.html

The 5200 definitely is a fun, and chatty, lock to pick.

I too am having trouble with security pins  I have just ordered a American 5200 Series padlock from amazon to practice with feeling these pins. As far as bumping a lock with security pins, do they make it any more difficult?

Sometimes security pins make a difference, sometimes not. Also, some security pins are bump resistant. it depends on the lock.
