Make an electric pick from Black and Decker Power Scissors

Has anybody figured out how to control the frequency of the oscillation? All the store-bought electric picks have this option.

If this was done this would become the standard method of making your own electric gun for cheap.

I don't have any electronics experience but I would imagine you would need to add something to the circuit board along with the dial or switch that would have to be installed to control the oscillation.

Lowering the voltage would be cheapest and easiest, I can see the "Throw" being another issue to deal with.
I have seen some with really long picks that could increase the problem.

Anyway you can shorten the throw?

The further away the pick is from the pivot point, the longer the throw. Keeping close to the pivot point will have a shorter throw.
