In December, we will be learning about physical security, locks, and locking mechanisms. This month's topic is disassembling and repinning locks! If you've never taken a lock apart and put it back together (often the harder part) to see how it works, you will be doing it at this meeting. This is a great meeting for beginners! You don't need to bring anything but if you don't want to share, a small screwdriver set and a plug follower are recommended. We'll also be festive and whatnot. Christmas and all.

Next meeting is on June 21st, topic is ASSA pin-tumbler and sidebar locks. After last month's laid back meeting we'll have another technical meeting that talks about some high security designs from the Swedish company ASSA (now part of ASSA-Abloy, biggest lock manufacturer by sales worldwide). They have fairly simply designs but pretty fantastic security. Beginner info and all that is, as always, available before and after. Next meeting is on August 16th, topic is TAMPER-EVIDENT TECHNOLOGIES. This will be a HANDS-ON WORKSHOP. You are going to touch the equipment.
