Hey all!

I'm new to the forums, but I'm a member of DC801 (dc801.org) and the SLC chapter of The Transistor hackerspace (thetransistor.com), and we're working on having regular monthly meetups for lockpicking. My hope is to eventually get enough people coming that we can create an official Utah TOOOL chapter.

As of right now, we're planning on the next meeting being Thursday, June 13 2013, and we'd love to have you come! You can find the location of the hackerspace here: http://thetransistor.com/chapters/ (it's the Salt Lake City location, not Orem)

Feel free to PM me, or come visit us on IRC (#utahmakers and #dc801 on Freenode) if you have questions. I'm basepi there as well. =)

Ok I put it in my calendar with an alarm. As long as no weird surprises come up, I'll be there. Do most of the members of your group have their own locks and picks, or do you need me to bring some spares?

A few spare picks would be great, I don't think everyone has them, and I may have a few people who are completely new to lockpicking coming. I'm planning on bringing some spares myself. And we can never have too many locks!

This meeting will probably be fairly low-key -- get everyone acquainted, decide on the best method of planning/announcing future meetings, and then just hang out and pick locks. I'm coming prepared to teach a few newbies as well.

It's a shame I had to miss out on this event. I hope everybody had a good time. I thought I had everything lined up for someone to come babysit my boys; but, that fell through. I hope to hear of future meetings though!
