What is the use of this pick and how t use it?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

What is the use of this pick and how t use it?

Can anyone tell me what the second pick from the left is for, and how it's used?

Just curious :) Thanks!

I think its supposed to be a rake for dimple locks... use it as you would a normal rake but i dont believe they are that effective... Anyways, welcome to the forum!

Wait.. you think its for a dimple lock, so it sounds like you haven't used one before, but you already don't believe they are that effective? They work very well actually.

@Squelchtone:
What dimples have you used them? I can't even make them fit on my dimples. They have too much warding for it to fit there :?
Go ahead, keep plugging away, picking on me! You will end up on bypass or with rigor mortise.

Sorry i should have sounded more confident after i researched it, prior to posting... This Particular Pick Set is Made by KLOM, the KLOM-308 to be specific. The funny looking pick you mentioned is know as a "Kabbah shackle" pick which translated from Chinglish means a Pick designed to pick Kaba locks.
Squelchtone wrote:so it sounds like you haven't used one before,

Correct, I haven't....
Squelchtone wrote:but you already don't believe they are that effective?

Nope... im just giving my opinion/conclusion based on everything that i have read about them, here and other places and having picked on my kabas for over 100hrs... it has convinced me to not even to bother to buy and try them...
Squelchtone wrote:They work very well actually.

I may well stand corrected then :) If they work for you and others, then great, and i very much respect your opinion squelch. No sarcasm, or other meaning in that comment... after only 4 weeks on this forum i could clearly see your wealth of experience and broad knowledge on all things lock related. I'm particularly impressed by you rolodex recollection of Patents :D
However, i will still not be buying one. If you take that pick for what it was designed for.... In my humble and noob opinion, ill have a greater chance of picking my nose successfully (without moderate injury) with that bent piece of foil; than i ever will of picking an 8, Gemini, 20, Quattro or ExperT.

I had one in my cheap arse goso pick set. I tried it in a cheap eagle safe dimple lock and it worked amazingly. Then I was sword fighting with it and it snapped >_<
