Bangkok, Thailand (I'm born in the Netherlands) Looking for other enthusiasts around here, but wherever i mention lock picking i get wild Hollywood influenced responses, so far didn't find ANY group or club or meetup around here as it seems non existent as a sport. Of course there are locksmiths, but they don't seem to be into sharing the fun.

Among other movies too, yes. My kids made us stop by the Goonies house, take pics outside. Then took pics of the Kindergarten Cop school which was only a couple blocks away from there. We stopped by the local tourist bureau where we bought replicas of the pirate medallions from the film for the kids. Then on the way South past Astoria, we stopped at the "haystacks", the three big rock formations off the beach where the kids went and played in the ocean. Fully clothed. That was a messy day.

But one that your kids will remember for many years, MBI. It may have been messy, but it will have been well worth it in the long run. As for how Squelchtone knows that the Goonies was filmed in Astoria... thought I saw a familiar name in the credits. Gordon

On October 18, 2007, Platial acquired Frappr!, another social mapping website, increasing its total user-generated locations to more than 100 million.
On February 27, 2010 Platial announced that the service would be closing down within a few days.
Looks like it's dead. Shame, as it sounded like really cool idea. Does anyone know of any alternatives? I'm in Boston, MA

http://wikimapia.org/ looks like it might be a good alternative? Wondering if google maps provides the same functionality now as frappr did back then?
