padlock Date codes

Postby SVENSON » 3 Sep 2013 10:39

I found this chart for american locks it gives you a manufacturing date and info. I'm looking for similar charts for pad locks.

first letter is the month of manufacture and the last two letters are the year.

January = Z
February = Y
march = X
april = W
May = V
June = U
July = T
August = S
September = R
October = Q
November = P
December = O

LAST TWO LETTERS
1= N
2= M
3= L
4= K
5= J
6= I
7= H
8= G
9= F
0= E

EXAMPLE... UFI = JUNE 96 MANUFACTURING DATE.

Search and ye shall find.. also they aren't lock ID codes, they are Date codes, I will edit your title to reflect this.

so for other lock manufacturers they have different date codes correct. meaning a different lock company such as master lock will have another code table like american has.
