I have a little lock knowledge, but could someone help me please as my wife has changed the lock on our house ( we are getting divorced ) and i need to get in to get my things, i had a practise picking on my own lock but just cant do it- what is the easiest way to get back in?

The easiest method would be by use of the law, culminating in a court order and only then followed by possibly the services of a professional locksmith.

Sneaking around and picking locks to get your stuff is one of those trust boundaries that should not be broken at this point in time. I don't know what led up to your divorce nor do I care who is at fault, but this kind of action would not be advised.

If the items are yours, and there is no dispute they are yours (pants, shoes, laptop, etc) that's one thing, but if you're fighting over who owns the 55 inch LED tv in the living room, the best thing to do is just take the high road and let her have it, unless you take her to court and the court finds that you bought it for yourself and she should not have it. I'm not a lawyer nor am I here to give life advice, but I will say that picking locks is not the solution to your current problem.
