Greetings valued members of Lockpicking101.com forum!

In continued celebration of 10 years of Lockpicking101.com, I would like to welcome all of you to Locktoberfest at Lockpicking101.com

(For those not familiar, we are taking the term Oktoberfest which is a German celebration of beer and blending it with out hobby of locks and lock picking.)

What is Locktoberfest you ask? It will be a month of fun events, contests, and continued improvements to the forum. Awesome prizes will be awarded and we hope all of you participate! We also have a big announcement or two, but more on that as the month goes on.

But wait, isn't there already a Locktoberfest in Chicago being run by some cool cats from TOOOL? Yes, yes there is, and I encourage anyone in Chicagoland area to get involved, it is happening soon! here's the link: http://locktoberfest-chicago.com/

But wait, isn't Lockmasters having a sale called Locktoberfest this month as well? Yes, and those guys are awesome, but our thing isn't a sale, it's a month long celebration of locks!

This is only a brief announcement, please look for more updates to this thread as well as a contest announcement this weekend!

Thanks and have a great day everyone!

There are lots of cool events in Europe coming up in November 2013, like the Dutch Lockcon or the German Championships. (This time in Munich - which is the place to be if you like good beer.)

P.S. Munich Oktoberfest (the real one) ends tomorrow, but there's nothing I would miss: Much too crowded and much too expensive.

I'm celebrating Movember. Shaved my beard, regrowing it now. Made a post about it... elsewhere.
