Squelchtone, two things about your video. First, like how it shows how little tension is needed. Second, that pick handle looks comfortable! Did the pick come with that handle, or where did you get it?

I figure that getting a vice is probably the easiest solution, The circular nature of the lock makes gripping it in the way you did with the Masterlock somewhat more difficult.
When I get the time, I'll check it out.

HPC foam handle covers, available on ebay 5 for $8 bucks, super comfy.

No matter what it'll be easier for you to pick because you know the pins, have someone else put them in or at random without looking.
