Locksmith looking for work in London

Pull up a chair, grab a cold one, and talk about life as a locksmith. Trade stories of good and bad customers, general work day frustrations, any fun projects you worked on recently, or anything else you want to chat about with fellow locksmiths.

Locksmith looking for work in London

Postby someguy7 » 11 Oct 2013 11:22

Hey guys I've just moved to London from Australia and am looking for a job over here as a locksmith but it seams to be hard to find anyone advertising vacancies and as you guys have no Licencing and Registration over here I have no idea what companies are reputable etc.
I've been working in locksmithing for close to seven years in Australia, completed my apprenticeship in 2010 I have experience in automotive locksmithing including transponder keys and motor bikes, creating and maintaining master key systems (both high security and standard inline), safe sales, servicing and repair, access control and CCTV systems and all sorts of door hardware installation locks closers etc.
This site has been a great help over the years so i thought i'd finally make an account and see if you can help me one more time!
I'd appreciate any advice of any kind!

Hi,

We are actually looking for someone. I'd be happy to talk with you and discuss things further.
If you're still looking for work please feel free to contact me by email info @ thelondonlocksmiths (dot) co (dot) uk.

Many Thanks,

Interesting, a London locksmith with an IP address out of Israel. That has some parallels with some of the 1-800 lockout companies we have in the US that have been in the press lately.

Sounds like a call centre type set up to me similar to Reactfast etc
It's all about the tension . . .
