How to make your own driver pins

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Very creative, good job! As for another source of pins, you could probably import pinning sets to Poland depending on the laws, as it would be very hard to make key pins at home as well. Also, by saying picking is illegal in Poland do you mean that the sale of locksmithing equipment is illegal or the act of picking itself even done on a lock you own is against the law?

For example what if you use two paperclips to open your file cabinet/desk drawer at home because you lost your keys? Are you breaking the law when you do this? If so that is ridiculous!

Well, it just says only about possesing, making or selling them if you are not in the lockpicking business, there is nothing about picking a lock. I guess someone could say that pick made from paperclip is a normal lockpick. And no locksmith will sell me anything, i once went to one with cylinder only and asked for a key to it so i can do some impressionig, he refused to sell it to me...

Yes they are pretty restrictive about selling blanks and picks here too. It is not against the law here but locksmiths and suppliers won't sell them so I make my picks and buy tools that I can't make from abroad and have them shipped.

As for blanks, getting to know your local locksmith can work for you; once he sees you have honest intentions there should be no problem, as was for me. Of course, if he is going to break a law by doing it he won't give it to you and that means you can't get 'em...
