You guys are the best, you know that? I been on google for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages typing all sorts! I do recall a style of lock like this from a long long time ago that the maker apparently claimed was unpickable... is that the same maker?

So do you think these two were worth the £15 I paid for the pair??

Yes, some of the guys and gals here are phenominal. :-)

They are certainly worth the £15 you paid. And yes, it has been advertised as unpickable. Then again, so has BiLock. Probably more true with Bramah locks.

More info, with pictures, can be found in High Security Mechanical Locks, by Graham Pulford, pages 205-208. He is a member here, too! The Picard, Fontaine (French locks) and the Supra (American) work in a similar fashion.

:-)

I'll be sure to check them out ;)

You know, being in France sometimes twice a month I've never come across a lonely Fichet/Picard... Will have to befriend some French lockies the next time I go. Fichet 480/690/787 are three I really need to get hold of. I found the F3D I done to be quite boring & a nasty piece of work to take apart.
