Hey guys, i have a question. I have a bump key set with 23 different keys in it but i do not know which one to use for certain locks. For example my front door's key that opens it is a Schlage Sc9, but in my set i only have an Sc1, Sc4, Sc 8, Sc19, and Sc20. I do not know which to use or what to do. Please help!

Does any of the keys fit the lock? I'm not familiar with Schlage keyways so that might be a dumb question.
See which ones do, and compare to the original key from that door. You need to look for a key with the same number of "cuts" and with the same spacing between them. Let us know how it goes!
Go ahead, keep plugging away, picking on me! You will end up on bypass or with rigor mortise. - GWiens2001

Why do you need bump keys? They're not much fun really.. picking is much more fun.

I would know that. I destroyed a keyway trying them. No more bump keys for me, NO SIR!

I have to agree here. I got a bump key set recently, and I noticed that it tends to damage cylinders. Granted I don't have optimal technique, but the amount of time it takes practicing it can be better used to practice picking, IMO. I also got a bump key jammed in a Euro cylinder, and had to cut off the sides with a Proxxon to remove the plug. I wanted to keep the bump key, but didn't care much for the old lock (which I got for free)...
If you do not manipulate the lock, then the lock will manipulate you

Sc1: 5 pin C keyway Sc4: 6 pin C keyway
Sc8: 5 pin E keyway
Sc19: 5 pin L keyway (slimmed down blank will slide in to all common schlage keyways) Sc20: 6 pin L keyway
The Sc9 that you have is the 6 pin Schlage E keyway. In your kit you will need to use the Sc20. Or if you have an Sc15 that will fit also.
Good luck!

Never seen a home with SC9, only businesses. Gordon
