Could you see the key bittings in the packet before you bought it, or was it pot luck?
For some reason that logo reminds me a little bit of half a Du Pont logo!
Since I took an interest in this, I've already found myself key-spotting in bars and stores that sell locks. Looking for the decent bittings that would make a tough(er) pick. I've already decided which lock to switch to my front door from an interior door! Now I just need to fix it from the last time I chewed up the frame to break in.
And the time before that on the back door too.
Looking forward to getting the dollars together one day for something like an abloy or two. But tbh, I need stronger front doors first, and even then everyone is low-tech here. I'd expect a sledge hammer on the door before a kwikset got picked. (Well, that's exactly what happened to my friend)! The trick, I found, is to be friendly to everyone, buy a few drinks at the bar every now and then and throw a few dollars on occasion. Best security there is. I don't think any local has intentions to rob me now - if it is going to happen it will be someone from a different district.
Yes Richie, I looked at the keys of the 3 padlocks that were available and choose the less flat one. I try to wisely choose the keys too. The logo may be an old version of Burg Watcher.
I just got southords dimple lock pick set and the master lock dimple padlock (ordered the padlock off amazon uk). Have not got it picked just yet but got close several times. I think there may be a spool pin or two in this lock. Whatever the case may be dimple picking is a different method of picking that I am still getting used to.
There definitely is at least two spools in this one. Maybe more but I didn't bring them to false set. Really enjoying working on dimple locks at the moment
If you do not manipulate the lock, then the lock will manipulate you

femurat; what kind of key operates those two locks? The one with the tension wrench in it in the lower left is obviously a cross lock, but those other two have me puzzled...

Good Going mechanical_nightmare!
@femurat, the Teicocil look interesting, have to look those up a little more.
