If those Guard are what I think, they are kinda nice. Obviously easy to pick of course, but by far the hardest for their size. I didn't try it on 20mm padlocks so IDK about those exactly, but they sound promissing (at least comparing with the ones out there)...
Let us know how that goes!

Yes, I am. Do you have a link?
No no link.I would just send it to you.
Thanks! I was not expecting that. You can email me at gaelicwolfling@gmail.com and I'll send you an address. I do not want to have personal information exchanged through the forum software. I'll try to send something for you to try out.

It is more about managing what I am doing than a security concern, but google's email services would be much harder to compromise than this forum's, but that was not why I choose to use email for more important communication. It is just so I have the information easily managed. I'd rather not have people contact me asking where the stuff I promised to send was, or have myself trying to figure out who sent me something. But, that little post of an email address (which is a public email, and my Youtube channel) has gotten a few reactions. Someone used an anonymous email service to send this: ude..
I think that for someone with such knowledge ("I'm a hacker" and shit like that), it's a pretty idiot move to say what you did on LP101.
You don't trust the forum to send your address through PM's, but you post your e-mail wide in the open? Ok, it may be a dummy e-mail, but yet you trust your shit going through Google then?
I also don't understand why you said such stupid stuff on Keypicking because SSL isn't a default setup and so on, but still post on LP101 like an idiot, which
That is the entire body of the message. I am not sure if it was cut off because of the email service or lack of reading before sending. But, to respond to it, since whoever sent it is interested in my personal choices: - It is a public email address. When I do not want even a public email address to be used, I used masked email.
- The amount I trust Google is according to the use of the service and their privacy policy. My browser is setup to severely limit tracking and other online concerns, but I do not mind some association with Google, as their services are useful, and the security concerns are lower, and more about privacy. If Google thinks I like locks and computers and such, and wants to serve me such ads, well, what harm is it to me? GaelicWolfling likes those things...but he also uses ad blockers and blocks trackers. This forum uses Google Analytics...but it is blocked for me.
- I'm sure this forum is secure enough for its purposes. The traffic is not secure and the forum software does not have the highest security, but there is no personal information associated with the account here and the information is public anyway at least, most of it, and I would have no objection to any "advanced" posts I may ever make being public.
- The interaction I had on keypicking.com was through chat, and although not private on the forum, it was intended for the people involved. However, since you brought it up, that was mainly a concern about a variety of factors, not just the lack of TSL (which was offered to those who chose to use it).
- If I choose to use this site, what harm is it? Why do you care?
- The only "spam" I received as a result of posting my email here was your anonymous email.
- I am not emotional attached to forums or any website. They are for sharing information, entertainment, etc. Whether I use this forum or another is a result of my limited time to use forums, and other factors, and is not meant to disparage any other forums.
- The admins of keypicking.com did not find my choice to be as troublesome as you find it...so what is this to you anyway?
And to add, the reason why I state about my digital interests in security and exploration is just to give a little background on my interests in this field.

Is there any disc detainer tiny padlock?
I ask this because altough they do not offer much security anyway, they would need a specialized tool (or someone with some knowledge to use regular tools) and would take a fair amount of time comparing to just wiggling a tension wrench in the keyway.

@fgarci03 - I use an ABLOY PL321 with a classic key for my suitcase when I travel to secure my suitcase at the hotel. They are also available in Protec 2 keys, but that seems a waste in such a small lock. But it is a small lock.
Can't use it on checked baggage in the plane, and a suitcase can be broken into easily enough anyway, so want it for exactly what you describe - keeps the honest people honest. If they want to break in, they will have to use destructive entry methods, as picking even a classic ABLOY takes a bunch more time than most crooks want to take inside a hotel room.

The Abloy smallest lock was mentioned, however, small padlocks with proper designs are not easy to pick even with basic pin tumbler locks. The main issue would be that the lock cannot be casually "picked" and that the lock cannot be bypassed. I am looking for a good small padlock which is worth the price, and I have not received the better locks (I hope) yet for comparison. The security of small locks is not for being impenetrable, but in being a seal, assuring one that one's belongings are intact. What could be worse than claiming a bag is yours and that you packed it, and then unlocking it to find illegal items in it? The Abloy lock is not cheap, and given that the only way it will be removed for inspection is by cutting it for most luggage, a cheaper lock would be advisable for airline travel at least. Locks don't keep honest people honest. They can prevent those who would be tempted to commit easy crimes, but security is not futile. It requires an assessment of the risks, probabilities, and tools being used. If one is using a lock with the idea of keeping honest people honest, then there is no point in using the lock. If one however is using the lock to mitigate a certain threat, and has chosen a tool to meet that threat, then one can be sure that threat has been neutralized. There may be other, less probable, threats, but that is true for any security solution.

Sorry...
I just noticed in the rules that rule 1 forbids "E-mail excerpts" in posts, and rule 3 forbids email requests. I do not understand the exact intent of those rules so I am unsure if I violated them, but I wouldn't have done it had I know of the possibility before posting.

If you're still looking for small padlocks, I have a 7KAD, a 120KAD, and a 131D. The 120KAD is particularly annoying because it's so small, and it's so easy to apply too much tension to it. For that reason, I've yet to single pin pick it, but it opens easily enough with a half ball or half diamond.
