A quick question [about KW1 and KW blanks]

Postby nuiwek31 » 21 Dec 2013 17:06

I have a KW1 key and a KW key blank. Are they the same? If Not whats different and can it still be used? Thanks in advance

Does the blank fit into the lock? Are they the same length? If yes, then it will work.

There are many key blank manufacturers, and they may use different numbers for the same blank, or there may be differences.

If the key looks like this one, then you should be alright. They come in different colors, silver, brown ( like the one below ) and some with designs.

If the key slides in and out smoothly with no trouble then you're fine.
