The Bucket challenge

If you had a piggy bank made out of a sealed Home Depot 5 gallon bucket and a 3 inch hole on the lid, how would you get the change out without damaging or modifying the lid or bucket ?

Cut the bucket open, cash in all the loot. Use your several hundred dollars that was previously in the container to get a tank of fuel for your car, have a nice dinner, and spend five bucks for a new bucket with a lid.

Maybe OP means a three inch slit?! The answer is to cut the seal, remove the lid, empty the bucket and then put the lid back on. The only thing damaged would be the seal.

Then again,
That's impossible; only, realize... there is no bucket...

Do you have the right to be taking the change in the first place?
If you do not manipulate the lock, then the lock will manipulate you

Fill bucket with water, place remote detonated explosive charge into bucket, take cover and detonate explosive.bucket will be blown to pieces and change will rain from the sky.

Then think of something witty and memorable to say, like "your only suppose to blow the bloody lid off!"

Oh wait....without damaging bucket...nevermind so!

+1...

I mean it takes barely any imagination at all to solve this "problem" using common household items which won't damage the bucket or the lid in any way at all...

Makes me feel like some young kid posted this...

It takes the well honed spidey-seneses a couple of hours of reading forum postings to recharge to full power after being away for too many weeks...

Trying to figure out if this is a puzzle or someone trying to rip off a donations bucket ;-)

Heres my solution…. Get a piece of 3" wide Formica… very thin and rigid. stick that down the 3 inch slot on the top. Next book yourself a seat on the "Vomit Comet" and while you are in parabolic flight, you should be able to get the coins to slide out with very little effort ;-)
