i noticed the formation of the london boys getting together, this is great, ok how about taking this nationwide, ie , north , north east and midlands branches.
an annual get together where everyone gets together, some toolmakers get to sell tools, lock suppliers locks etc , maybe some picking classes on non destructive entry.
just an idea, and hard to organise, and it would cost something though moderate costs only if we had the turn out.
food for thought just.
or groups of uk pickers can set up there own picking classes, get some guidence and some help from instructors as well as some help from each other, clubbing together to share the cost of training and to bulk buy locks and tools.

There appeared to be interest shown towards the end of the London meeting posting for Regional/National meetings. It would be good to put faces to aliases - or maybe not .

I'm up for one in Texas, I believe we have 3 Bryan/College Station people, 2 DFW, a couple Houston, I've got 3 people in my town who are still lurking on the forum. I've thought about creating a Texas Locksports Association. Even make membership cards.

I am DFW but I travel to Tyler atleast once usually twice and three times a week. My fiance goes to school at UT Tyler.
I'd suggest we meet somewhere on I-35 which is about as far south as I know. I don't even know how far south it goes.

Well it aint going to be much of a session with just the two of us Pinky - think you could get Ken to come along to make up numbers. Anyone else interested in making Regional get-togethers happen, Midlands in particular ?.

I might be able to make it to a meet in the midlands. I'd prefer it to be in the North - Cumbria, Northumberland, North Yorkshire etc but I'm not really expecting that.
Obviously there's a fair amount of work organising such a thing. My organisational skills leave something to be desired so if anyone gets things finalised, let us all know. Naturally, I'm happy to help where I can.

Why don't we have an adition to DefCon in Las Vegas or something, it's a great place to meet alot of people, we could setup a lockpicking compeition booth, $10 entry fee, $10,000 grand prize to the winner that unlocks the lock (make it something rediculously hard to open) All those would-be-hackers would love to take a crack at it.
eH? I'm a Cannuck eH? pass the Moslon eH?
