Recently my manager wanted to change the lock cylinder when a resident moved out. this is a schlage deadbolt not sure what series but it has a thumb lever on the inside. I took it apart and am looking at the cylinder. we have to change the tailpiece and cam and put it on the cylinder to be used but when I look at the retaining cap pin, it is in the 10:00 o'clock position. the one I am supposed to use the pin is in the 2:00 o'clock. I'm assuming the travel when you turn the lock wouldn't be the same and the lock wouldn't operate properly. I'm a lock newbie so I could use some help. thanks in advance.
