Invoice

Postby torontosafecracker » 4 Feb 2014 21:30

I searched "invoices" didn't find what I was looking for, checked on google also, maybe not hard enough. Maybe somebody could help me. I'm looking for a invoice I can edit and print.

I know there's lots for software, but I'm not quite there yet. For now , I've been creating a new one everytime, I could save a template, but am feeling that I am missing something, any ideas/links?

For my small business I only send about a dozen invoices a year. I do my accounting in quickbooks, but I enter everything when I do my taxes. I use a template i found in Microsoft Word for my invoices because it's so easy. If you go File > New. Then in the template area, select Invoices, then Sales Invoice. I use the one with the blue theme. There are a bunch of other templates too.

I just made one on excel. Added an option to charge tax or not & to show cost but not when printed. I keep a master list and displays info from all of these with cost and profit.

Let me know if you want a copy I can send the file over.

We use Quickbooks. Probably send out 20 invoices daily, so Quickbooks is a worthwhile investment. We use pre-printed triplicate ones from Nebs for on the road invoices.

I do computer repair, cabling, etc.
For several years, I used the free version of Quickbooks along with 2 or 3 part forms for invoicing in the field.
Last year I signed up for Quickbooks Online, costs me around 12 bucks a month. I can access it from anywhere, including the app on my iPhone. I still use the paper forms when the customer wants a copy right away, and for my business customers I just email an invoice from Quickbooks and they send a check.
