Cheap lock - Why don't I need a tension wrench?

Postby Trit0n » 6 Feb 2014 3:54

So, I dont know how expensive this lock was but it seems cheap.

So, to pick the lock ALl I need to to is just:
- Insert a straight bobby pin(in the middle of the lock) and turn it into the correct direction.

Here is a picture, looks excatly like that.

My question, can this techniquee work on a bigger lock too?

You were probably just bypassing it.And some cheaper, older locks can be bypassed, but you won't make a living at it until you learn to pick. :o

Some crappy locks with a not-very-hard biting can be opened inserting any piece of metal and wiggling it a bit. It happened to me with the germanese pin tumbler lock and another cheap padlock. If it's not that, you are probably bypassing it accidentally.
