SPRING NOISE

I bought one of those cheep deadbolts from lowes the gate house brand and is seems to have alot of spring noise making it hard to hear the pins setting. Any advise on what to do.

It may be dirty. Have to tried cleaning and lubricating it?

To quote one of my past instructors... Just because it is new does not mean that it is good. It just means it is not dirty yet.

Recommend clean and lube.
