Details!!!

This is a touchy subject. Some people own replicas, and should be able to have keys made for their payphones. I would call a locksmith if this is the case, If it is a reputable one with experience in making keys (not just copying them) it won't be an issue.

On the other hand, some people are just looking to risk going to jail for a handful of change. Unfortunately the information is one and the same. So You most likely will not be getting any play by plays for this, I apologize if you are just a collector of phone booths and are looking to save some money. But a locksmith should be able to help you out.

I agree with you. But just throwing this out there, I have not seen a payphone in over a year. It seems they are disappearing with everybody having cell phones. I'm pretty sure the last payphone I did see was at a 7-11, being used by a person who sells illegal substances.

In regard to phone booths disappearing, I have a family member who works for one of the large service providers here in Canada.
Through his work, they're actually refurbishing, removing the coin mech, and selling these old booths internally for usage in man caves etc.

The key comes with when you buy one (legitimately) in this way..
