I came across a cam lock the other day and did not have a key for it. I took it back to my shop and found the Ilco 1674 to work exactly. I ran the code and found that it was a Candex code. The key was very easy to make after knowing the relative depths. However, I wanted to see what the wafers and inside looked like. The plug will not come out with the cam and screw removed. I do not want to force it yet and wondered if anyone else knows what is holding the plug in. I suspect there is a wire expansion ring that fits into a groove in the case. Can anyone clarify this? Thanks.
