Hi i would be interested if you have not given up the dream yet i was thinking about doing something like that myself but the process looked like it would be a big headache and i have so much else going on atm that i would not be able to head up the thing but i have several friends that are interested in the idea of lock picking.

my name is Doc and I am the owner of the Outlet Key Shop™. I have been a locksmith for almost 20 years, TOOL member, ALOA ACE Instructor, certified fire door inspector, and small business owner since 2011. On May 27th, 2021, Tennessee abandoned the Locksmith licence law passed in 2006, removing all questions about legally owning lock picks in the state of Tennessee.
Recently I have been asked by the Knox Makers group to teach and host a lockpicking class. The lock picking and "Locksport" communities provide the locksmith community with very talented, potential employees. With this information in mind, I feel obligated to explore the possibilities of starting a local Knoxville/ East Tennessee lock picking ("Locksport") chapter.
I will be hosting a class on October 10th at the Knox Makers group. Seating is limited, hope to see some of you there.

Hello Doc! I live in the knoxvile area, and I think I may have even reached out to you on Facebook at some point. I've been practicing lock picking for a couple of months and I'm eager to learn as much as I can about this hobby, and have even began trying to learn more about locksmithing. So if you have any information, guidance, advice or supportive words I would gladly accept any info, at any time.
