If you picked a chick up off Craigslist, do you really think she could afford genuine handcuffs? They'd probably just be those novelty kind that would break with a good yank. That is, if you can get the pink or leopard print fur out of your way first.
Anyone used the services of Precision Lock & Safe? Can you tell me anything about them?

Unless s(he) bought proper cuffs with the intent to rob some poor craiglist sap.

Woops, Should've used Kijiji, haha.

You missed the thread that was in response to this thread. It was typed in morse code. It was great!

I've seen it :D :D :D
It took me a moment to realise it was in morse code :D
a pity it's not a real thread. Though I heard handcuff are usually very easy to shim... Not sure I don't have one, but always wanted one :D For *ahem* research purposes. :D :D
Seriously though.

I think there was a real thread awhile back.

In any case here is a good video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CTUx4Z ... ata_player

They are basically just a ratchet with a spring loaded pawl. If you push something between the teeth and the pawl you can shim them. The video kind of skips over the fact that real handcuffs will have a double lock feature to prevent them from being closed further and injuring the person being cuffed. If the cuffs are used properly the double lock will stop you from shimming the cuffs. The double lock is basically just a piece of metal that blocks the pawl from being retracted.

As a fun fact the London, England, emergency services reported a 50% increase in handcuff related calls a couple of months after 50 shades of grey came out.
