Do you carry a lock pick kit with you?

Do you carry a lock pick kit with you most of the time on a normal day? Not around the house, but do you take a small pick lock kit kit you in your jacket pocket or in your backpack/bag when you are going out?

I have done it a couple of times, but nothing I normally do.

I keep an every day carry kit with basic picks and assorted tension wrenches and a couple of small locks in my pockets whenever I'm going out unless it's a quick run to the store or errand. I'm not a locksmith just a hobby picker. Some people play with there phones while waiting or read a magazine I like to pick and get awkward looks and for anyone willing to ask give mini security lectures while explaining the hobby. I also take them to work to play with locks on my breaks and have even got a couple of coworkers picking for fun now.

I only carry the Ti Bogota set from SerePick in my wallet. it saved me the one time I locked myself out of my place. I opened the EZ-SET KIK and deadbolt in less than 30 seconds...

Carrying them around has never appealed to me, but with all the credit card pick sets& pen picks I have seen I'm in the minority

That maybe true for lock picks,but I always to try to carry a small bag of car opening tools(A slim jim,air wedge,plastic wedge,long reach strap tool and slide lock tool)with me wherever I go(Even when I go out with family or friends lol)because I have stumbled upon(And helped numerous)people who were locked out of their vehicles and were trying to gain entry with coat hangers and such.

I carry mine in my truck. I am always rekeying locks and opening locks that people have misplaced their keys. I also carry other tools. a pick gun, drills etc. I am still retired from my business. I do this in my spare time.

I always carry a pocket jackknife on my key chain. Last time I needed it when I came back to my bicycle outside the train station and discovered that some funny guys put an Abus padlock on the spokes.

There's also a pick set in my car which became useful for more than one time.

Yes siree. I carry my picks with me everywhere I go. It's just for those moments where I'm locked out, I see someone locked out, or for just feeling prepared. Here are picks of my set.

In the UK this would be called "going equipped to steal" and could be a quick way to earn a criminal record unless you had good reason to have them, like being a registered locksmith.

There are similar laws in most states but it only gets you in trouble if you are picked up on suspicion of burglary, or caught in the act of burglary. Here it is called possession of burglary tools. It applies not only to picks but also car opening tools and bump keys.

i carry mine all the time ( and a lock or two) one bc i have for free have help out locked out friends and 2 i lost my house keys for awhile......( i know dont pick ones u use but i have a bunch of quickset cores if i broke it and can rekey it) i like to change up what picks i have to try thing different. some people play cell games to kill time , i try to hone my skill ( this is a very time consuming hobby at times) when i get a free monment
