Question on Lube

Lube is a touchy question here in the Arizona desert, as any liquid will attract dust and that turns into mud. I like to use a teflon lube with an alcohol base, or graphite in locks. Many auto builders are now using a lithium based grease in their locks which with the addition of heat becomes paste over time and I find the wafers are often trapped in this paste. Once these locks fail I dig all the old grease off & install new springs & lube them with graphite.

Someones a pro, lol. Great job. One day I want to start up as a locksmith, but someday I will. I just have to make a custom receipts book for my business, get a license, and register myself as a business owner.

Sterling locks actually recommend WD40! Since they make the things I guess its their call.

When you get around to buying those receipts remember to do yourself a favor and don't have any numbers printed on them. If you are asked why just let them know that you keep your receipts in chronological or alphabetical order. I spent 20 years worrying about keeping all those receipts I wrote "void" on, screw that
