Another long winded run on sentence from Toronto Safecracker...lol

I'm really excited about April, I have a spot or 2 left, if anybody is interested. Skill level is not important.

I was wondering what the rules would be about me making a FB group for locksmiths and lock pickers in the Toronto area, and then posting it here. to make these events a bit better to organize.

I'm not charging any money, or trying to profit off this. I just want to fill the gap. When I started. I found it very difficult to find anybody interested in the subject, or interested in telling me about it. I did find a couple, these people are my inspiration. I hope to do for you guys, what they did for me.

Also if all goes well on the 12th, I would like to have one for the Locksmiths and Advanced Lock pickers / Safe Techs

Just a thought.

Also if anybody wants to come the day before and help out that'd be cool, I could use a fresh perspective.

I'm actually in Mississauga and this is my busy season. Hopefully I can get in some time. I'd love to have some conversation and maybe chat about the history of the tools and stuff. Keep me posted. I'll bring my own for the show and tell. Glad you are hosting.

Hey... have an old friend who lives in Mississauga! Small world.

Hi torontosafecracker and everyone else interested in a Toronto area meetup.

This is a reminder that we have a TOOOL group that has been getting together for close to a year now, although we are listed as an official TOOOL toronto chapter, we happen to be meeting in Hamilton at a local hacker/maker space called THINKHAUS (http://www.thinkhaus.org).

We meet in Hamilton as it happens to be central to where most of the current members meet and some were already active at thinkhaus.

If there is enough demand and interest from the gta area we are open to meeting elsewhere to accommodate where the demand is.

Currently we meet on the first Saturday of every month from 2 - 4 pm and it often goes much later.

We have about 10 regulars and have had quite a few others stop by.

We ran a lockpick village at the Toronto Mini Maker faire and the turnout was way beyond what any of us expected.

Feel free to message me if there is anyone else interested in more information.

Just to follow up on Gr8tfuldeadbolt's post from last year, the Toronto TOOOL chapter has now moved to Toronto proper. We now meet on the first Wednesday of every month from 7pm to 9pm at the Site3 coLaboratory (http://www.site3.ca/location) at Bloor and Ossington. All are welcome, so feel free to stop by and pick, chat, whatever. We have community sets of tools for use by those who want to learn and don't have picks yet.

Also, if you guys end up doing any additional meetups in the future I would definitely be interested in attending.

Cheers!
