Peterson Order - No email confirmation

Postby kaleun96 » 2 May 2014 14:47

I placed an order with Peterson on Tuesday but haven't yet received an email copy of the order. The money has gone through (withdrawn from my account, not a pending transaction) so I assume the order was completed but I've emailed Peterson and haven't heard back yet.

Is this normal for Peterson? I'm not too concerned as Peterson has a great reputation, just the first time I've order something online without me having much confirmation of my order.

Also, do you guys know how long Peterson usually take to process orders?

Cheers.

Oh yeah it's normal. They have a ton of order every day so it'll take some time for you get an email. Their business is very reputable. Also, check your spam folder just in case it landed in their somewhere.

Give them a week for processing.

My two cents. I've always got a confirmation of order from ThinkPeterson.com but sometimes gmail decides it's spam and dumps it in my spam box. So like kpick said double check and see if it got flagged as spam. Now they don't always let you know it has shipped but in my experience from ordering, if I place an order on Monday it's usually in my mailbox happily waiting for me by Saturday of that same week the latest of Tuesday the following week. I live in California and they ship from New York so they usually have a pretty quick shipping and handling time.

You can always call them. I placed an order last week and didn't get an email so I called, the order had already been shipped and I received it yesterday.

Thanks for the info.

I live in New Zealand so I might just wait for an email reply rather than calling. I'm actually getting the package shipped to a warehouse in Oregon operated by our national postal service, they then forward it on to NZ for $12.50 (<500g). The service is usually used for US companies that won't ship internationally, but I'm using it because Peterson quoted $35 to send to NZ and that may take up to 6 weeks. By using this warehouse, it'll cost me about $20 and supposedly only takes a few days from leaving the warehouse to arriving in NZ.

I should receive a notification when my parcel reaches the Oregon warehouse, hopefully by the end of next week.

By the way, I've heard that Peterson have a annual summer sale, is it similar to their Xmas special (25% off)?

Just got word the parcel arrived at the Oregon warehouse (processed at 4am), should be in NZ in the next 7-11 working days.
I ended up saving $12USD on shipping and it'll get here a lot quicker than USPS (with tracking too).

Good to hear it worked out. Peterson is good people.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

I never get conformation emails from Peterson but I always get their stuff in about a week at most.

You can email them and they will give you the confirmation number.

Everyone one should have a peterson pry bay and pry bar lite in their lockpick collection.

I thought I had a problem trying to sign up for their email list. Turned out the confirmation emails were in my spam folder...
