where to get good deal of yale wireless locks?

Postby victorylocksmith » 2 Jun 2014 19:55

i recently took a seminar with Yale at Assa Abloy online, it said that the wirless Yale locks were cheaper than the wireless Kwikset locks. this was surprising to me seeing as Yale is generally pretty expensive. anyways, i believe they said that the locks could MSRP at around $140. this made me assume that i could get them for at least $100 and then sell them for a lot. well i talked to the Clark representative and they basically laughed at me when i said that i would like a good deal at around $100. i am now confused and somewhat stuck in a bad position because i had told my old boss who just hired me back after i lost my other job, that we could be able to sell some sort of package deal where we sold and installed the Yale locks around $275 flat. now i am looking online and seeing that the yale locks are all around $200. it has put me in a bit of a tight spot.

as a result, i am now looking into finding out who did the Yale seminar in the first place so i may contact him but, assa has not called me back yet. i also tried calling yale, but they seem to have no clue either and do not do any of the pricing, which seems strange because the gentleman who did the seminar and told us the MSRP was from Yale. things dont look good, and it looks like i might have to look for another job again at this rate.

Victory how do you mean wireless? Battery powered push button deadbolt? YRD210-NR-619 can be found in the 140 range.

You know anytime a new product comes out it will sell at the top of it's price range for awhile. Look at the magical Kwikset Kevo lock. They haven't even ironed out all the kinks in it yet and it is selling at close to msrp, even to locksmiths. I used to be a gun dealer and it was the same thing. The brand new item could be sold for double the profit, cause you couldn't get very many of them. Eventually the floodgates will open more and then there will be more of the desired product available than consumers want--at that point the price will start to come down, as distributors begin cutting prices, in order to make the desired sales.

You can buy it in ebay or amazon or any Yale distributor!
