Anyone Used the Dyno Kwick Lock Pick?

As for as the chinese knock offs go they are great starting points. I got to the point where I could walk up to any of these generics, masters, club, fortress and so on and have them open in under ten seconds by SPP. Refine your picks as you get better with these and then move up slowly to more challenging things. You want to be able to open these without even thinking about it before you go on to bigger and better things. But once you've moved on do the same with those and you'll be amazed at how easy the next challenge becomes.

Today I found one of these Dyno Kwick Picks while cleaning out a shed at my wife's grandparent's house. At first I thought it was some kind of cheap aluminum promotional item given away by a local business, but when I realized what it was I pocketed it and brought it home.

With NO training, instructions, videos or anything more than a basic understanding of how locks work I was able to open our Brinks front door deadbolt and our normal doorhandle lock to our garage door. Both were picked in just a couple minutes each, and after about ten minutes I could open both in just a few seconds.

I'm not trying to detract from what the other, more experienced people on this forum are saying about the Dyno...but it works. I still thought it was a cheap little aluminum knockoff of a real locksmith tool until I Googled it. Truth be told, I wouldn't have paid twenty bucks for it yesterday. But today it's one of the coolest toys I've got and well worth $20 or more.

Since you got it for free (Same way I got mine) They are fun to play with but the only thing the kwick pick is a snake rake with a cool handle. For about $2.00 you can buy the same thing from almost any pick company.


Welcome to the forum but stop picking locks in use.

You can and probably will break a lock raking it open if you don't know what your doing.

I received a dyno kwick pick as a present last Christmas and its great and easy to use on picking every pad lock ive come across. It's definitely paid for its self in locks I didn't have to replace.

I used to have one and it worked on locks with large keyways, but for the same price or close,
you can get a good pickset with more tools and a selection of tension wrenches rather than
just the one.

It is not a bad pick, I have used one on wafer locks with good results.

The dyno quickpick was the very first pick i ever owned and aftrr alot of practice i was able to open alot of locks. I still use it to this day and am always surprised what i can open with it! Its a great tool to carry in your pocket everyday just in case you need to unlock something and dont have your kit with you.
