Need to open Johnson-Pacific Safe-Combo lost

I'm in my deceased parents home, I found an in-ground safe which may or may not have documents or ? in it. It is a model Beacon 4-4255. I have the serial number as well. Is there any way of recovering the combination or opening it, or paying someone to open it for me without damaging it. I'd like to continue using it.
Thank you,
Dave

Hello and thank you for your question.

We'd love to see some photos, so if you could please post some to http://imgur.com/ or to a photo sharing site of your choice, then Copy/Paste the link in your reply we can see if there is some info available about your safe.

Thank you,
Squelchtone

I googled your model number and found this, try out the combination and dialing procedure they provide: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Locksmithing ... e-co-1.htm

If you are in California, this expert may be able to open it for you, he's well known:

Hey Dave,

Sorry about your parents. It's always hard to lose someone.

As for the safe, if you could post some pictures as Squelchtone suggested, that would be helpful, and follow his suggestion regarding dialing it open.

Beyond that, most safes can be manipulated open, but it requires a skill set that isn't easily learned in a short period of time. Like Squelchtone said, post some pictures so we can get and idea of what kind of lock it has, and there may be some options for default combinations.

If those don't work, calling a certified safe tech is probably your best option.

It will be an S&G 6730 or a Lagard.. both able to be manipulated, but not for someone who isn't familiar with the process.
