Could someone please give me either a link or the contact info to buy a mr wizard practice lock? I've searched all over the net on the different threads and all I can find are reviews and no links or contact info. I'm tired of looking. Can someone please give me this info and maybe what the price is for one? Thanks.

And that IS the eBay seller name of MrWizard. You can also send him a private message here on LP101 - as we said, he's a member. He likes to give a discounted rate when dealing directly with members over random buyers on eBay. I am glad to highly recommend not just his practice lock, but he himself as well. Very reputable, and a great guy. Gordon

That's good to know Gordon, thanks for posting that information. I was looking to buy one and would happily pay his ebay price. It's nice to know he offers a discount...it already seems like a great bargain. -Mike

Just stay away from those schlage cut-away practice locks. They are junk. A novelty item to look at only. Good only for showing how the pins work only.

Think Silver is referring to the cheap KIK cylinders that are cutaways on eBay.

Is there a way to get it besides ebay. I had an issue with a seller and I put a stop payment on my card and the issue for some reason is not resolved after two years and I can't buy anything off of ebay. Is there another route to get these?

Gordon mentioned a few posts ago that you can PM MrWizard. Try that. He's the seller and a member here. Contact him directly and see what he can do for you.

What about them being Schlage makes them junk? Arn't they just normal locks that someone took a mill to?

I've since done some googleing and more reading here. The locks in question are the clear acrylic 'Schlage' ones populating eBay. They're not made by Schlage, and are pretty low quality. They feel compleatly different to real Schlage locks... Check the link: http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?t=15228

Please advise current contact info for MrWizard That eBay link no longer works, and and an author search here for MrWizard came up empty.

I sent him a message with a link to your post, he hasn't been on the forum in a few months so not sure if he will reply, but you should know within a day or so. Squelchtone
