Help with masterlock code

Hi folks,

Searching the internet and stumbled across this forum. I'm hoping someone can help me out with a problem at work. I'm trying to figure out if key code a1943 would open the same lock as any of the following: 0536, a522, 3256, a473 or 3278.

Thanks 2octops. We had had a mystery padlock turn up on one of our gates. One of my coworkers opened it with an key he found in our workshop with the a1943 code, and I was thinking that the lock may have also been opened with one of our standard keys, but I guess not. The mystery continues. Thanks again!

The a1943, 0536, a522, 3256, a473 or 3278 stamped on the key is kind of a serial number .. you can contact Master lock with the number and they will send you a replacement key .. But it is not a binding sequence or anything like that .. So if you were able to open a lock with just a random key then if was just PFM ...
