cheap EZ armor suppliers?

hey guys, im looking for a quick way to make more money. i figure i could make a quick buck by supplying and installing EZ armor like door frame and jamb reinforcements. What i dont need is the usual Don Jo stuff you can pick up at any supplier for simple commercial upgrades, I am looking for door/jamb reinforcement for residential work. the cheapest i can find at typical big box places is around $75. to me that seems like a ripoff considering all it is is a couple wrap around plates and some thin long metal sheets with holes cut into them.

but You can make your own reinforcements, like longer than usual strike plates from sheet steel you can find at hardware stores. The site at Home Depot Supply shows a reduced price on HDS#'s

BTW if you are reinforcing a door with hinges on the outside it is easy to make a couple of "dead-pins" which are commonly seen in use on safes. I take the second screw out of the middle hinge and drill for a 3" wood screw, (like the HD Deadbolt reinforcements that come with schlage deadbolts)
screw it into the empty hole up to the neck. Then cut off the head and you can usually remove a screw in the door edge side of the hinge that will correspond to the stump sticking out. Drill the hole a bit larger so this stump can slide into the door frame and now if the hinge pins are driven out, the door still won't open. Also someone would hafta cut through the hinge to get at the dead pin, which should really slow them criminals down--Oops I said criminal, I hope this won't be considered advanced info.

what is the difference between the 2 3/4 and the 2 3/8 backset with these? does it even matter or are they just making things complicated for not reason. technically id imagine that it wouldnt make a different because it only bolts over the strikeplate and doesnt that doesnt effect the length/depth of the lock.

scratch that, now i understand, they mean for the cover slips of the knobset and the deadbolt

I just bought some window locks from nuset hardware, they are super-cheap
