BTW if you are reinforcing a door with hinges on the outside it is easy to make a couple of "dead-pins" which are commonly seen in use on safes. I take the second screw out of the middle hinge and drill for a 3" wood screw, (like the HD Deadbolt reinforcements that come with schlage deadbolts)
screw it into the empty hole up to the neck. Then cut off the head and you can usually remove a screw in the door edge side of the hinge that will correspond to the stump sticking out. Drill the hole a bit larger so this stump can slide into the door frame and now if the hinge pins are driven out, the door still won't open. Also someone would hafta cut through the hinge to get at the dead pin, which should really slow them criminals down--Oops I said criminal, I hope this won't be considered advanced info.
