Help ID a lock for a new picker.

Hello, I've searched the forum for info on this lock as well as the Internet and haven't been able to find a thing. I've been close but not exact.

I bought a couple locks without keys at an antique mall. The one I'm trying to find info on is a brass master lock. One side has the FULL BODY lion, says master and has the numbers 8013. The opposite side says Master Lock Co Pat Pending Made In USA Milwaukee and has the numbers 88. These are the only markings I can find and have seen some similar but none with these numbers.

Mostly, I'd like to know what I can about getting started picking it.
I've only successfully picked some basic padlocks and this one is giving me trouble.
Any hints or advice would be awesome.
