Master Padlock M930XKADLH [10 on their hard to pick scale]

Anyone know what pins are in the Master Padlock M930XKADLH?

I have it in my hand but am fighting the temptation to find out rather wanting to pick it. Plug removes very easily. In reality might be easier to remove the plug and just open it with a screwdriver. But anyway, it's the picking that counts right now.

All master locks with the exemption of the 911 series have regular pins. There is a thread somewhere with a ton of lock and their pin type.

The 930 TSR body lock (Which is just copy of the American Lock 700 lock body) was one of the first locks I ever picked, and I will say mine had 1 spool pin in it.

Master has a clear separation when you consider the Maste No.3 style laminated 4 pin locks and when you make a jump to their No.532, No.140 style brass/steel solid body locks which have spool pins, and then the 6 pin ProSeries 6121, 6123, etc black coated commercial outdoor padlocks, usually have a spool pin or two.

The 911 yellow and 930 steel *should* have a spool pin or two based on my past experience.

your mileage may vary,

I'm wondering then what does Master consider a hard to pick lock? If there are no security pins or anything. The only thing I can see is that pins 3 and 4 are long pins and pin 5 is very short. Would that be it?

Short of the locks that have security pins .. The way that you add security to a lock is Up Down bidding, paracentric keyways, anti-bump pins, etc ..

Master Lock does not rate their locks based on picking security (though they say they do) their rating is based on physical security (bolt cutters and shotguns) which they are surprisingly good at.
