First warded lock impressioning

Postby NinjaLlama » 5 Aug 2014 14:19

Bought a Slaymaker padlock on eBay and it did not have a key. So I decided to try and impression my first key. This warded lock was fairly easy to impression and the key is still a work in progress, but here is what I have accomplished so far. I still need to shape the bow of the key and polish it.

Success!

This was a very entertaining process so I imagine I will have to try to impression some other locks I have. :D

Congratulations in your first impressioned warded lock, NinjaLlama. It can be a challenge with different locks, but warded locks are a great place to start. That Slaymaker looks like it is in good condition. Great addition to your collection. :)

The shackle was rusted fairly badly when I received it, although letting it soak in some evaporust for a couple hours really helped it out.
