Pick Length and Feedback

Does the length of the pick have any significant affect on feedback?

My opinion is that yes, it does affect feedback. But not nearly as much as the stiffness of the metal the pick is made from. Also, if the lock has a handle, the material it is made of also affects feedback.

^^^^great answer^^^^ the way you hold the pick also has a lot to do with the feedback, if you keep a finger on the shaft of the pick (even a rubber handled one) it increases the feedback you get. I have noticed this with my rubber handled petersons, when holding them as explained above the difference between the plastic and rubber handled picks is not as noticeable as if you were to just hold the handle without touching the shaft of the pick.

thanks! I've been trying to force myself to hold the pick by the handle only instead of holding it by the shaft.
