Off topic but, what kind of valve was it?

Okay, I gave up on that lock, but I am now playing with a similar lock, the only difference is that this one says "assa" on the plug. Any suggestions?

I dunno. Probably a water valve. Despite my hopes, it is not a valve that will release methane gas into the drama basement and do away with the annoying emo's

Do you want to know why I asked about the valve?

Once upon a time a friend and I discovered that the water pipes to the toilets at our school led to a small room beside the toilets. The lock to that room was such that you just had to close it to lock it, but you'd need a key to open it. The gap between the door and the doorframe was about 5mm.
My friend took a metal hook and put it in the gap, pulled, and the door was open. Inside, the pipes went down in the floor and there was a hatch in the floor. My friend opened the hatch and found a valve.
He closed the valve and the toilets didn't flush...
A day later, there was an awful stench in the toilets, my friend did not feel so well after that. We decided to restore the valve and flush all the toilets.
No-one spotted us, but when he was about to restore the valve, some younger pupils showed up. I closed the door fast as anything, and leaved, so that the pupils shouldn't see anything. The door could not be opened from the inside, so my friend was stucked in there! The pupils had taken place on a bench and chatted for about 15 minutes, but then their lessons begun and they leaved. Then I could rescue my friend, just in time, we had to run to our maths.

I'd been easy for him to get out of there, all the teatchers took the way just outside that door from their offices to their classes.
But if he'd get stucked in there and some teatcher had heard him yell for help, he'd been in quite a mess trying to explain what he did in there...

I strongly recommend everyone to _only_ pick locks that they own, or are allowed to pick. We were young by then, so we didn't realize the consequences of our actions. And it wasn't picking, it was bypassing, so it really shouldn't be discussed here.
